I am so happy to be able to list a little set to benefit Michele Yurgaitis and her family! Michele was one of the first designers that I admired when I first started listing my designs on ebay. As many of you have heard, she lost her husband unexpectedly a couple weeks ago. I feel so blessed to have such a gorgeous "front yard". We enjoyed some amazing 80 plus degree weather this weekend and spent some sweet time relaxing in the sand and sun. I hope your weekend was just as wonderful as ours was!!
Well...I must say I USED TO hang out all my laundry when my kids were little and I only had a couple of them. It was relaxing...I loved it...and the scent of laundry dried in a crisp afternoon breeze beats no other! As my family grew I advanced to a HUGE modern dryer that ...well frankly....runs all day long every day!
Along with other changes around the house in an attempt to "be more green"...I`ve decided this week to go back to hanging out the laundry. Now keep in mind I have 5 children....and in addition I am constantly washing their friends misc things that get left at our house. I`m hoping that I can find a way to put up enough clothes line around my yard to hold the loads and loads I do everyday. Can it even be done????? LOL
I`m determined to shut down the monster dryer and turn this little chore once again into a sweet and relaxing part of my day....wish me LUCK!!!
I had alot of fun working with several of my groupmates in Ivylane to create several sweet mix and match items with co-ordinating ladybug fabrics. I just LOVE how all these little things turned out. We`ve listed as seperates so that buyers can bid on pieces they like and then combine them as they please! How fun is that?????

Since the day we got home from our most recent disneyland trip, Amber has been transformed magically into Snow White. She has the dress, the crown, the shoes, the purse and the SONG. Believe me...she sings this song DAILY...several times. We also have the 7 dwarfs living at our house....(well...in the real world we would call them chickens...but in fantasy land where Amber now loves to reside...they are her 7 dwarfs). 
Of course one of Snow Whites most favorite things in the whole wide world (fantasyland) is taking care of and feeding her 7 dwarfs. Today Amber..oops...I mean Snow White...took time out of her busy day to share a bag of popcorn with her sweet little dwarfs. Some for you...some for me...then hi ho, hi ho...its off to work we go! (back to laying eggs girls....!!!)

We all know that if ruffles were a sin I would be guilty guilty guilty!!! LOL. To me there is nothing sweeter than a little girl in ruffles!!! Well, when I created my little winter grace coat...I knew that I would be doing another. I just LOVE the vintage look and I LOVE being able to add my own creative twist to make it over the top original. So here is my second GRACE coat set! This set would be PERFECT for Easter or well beyond into spring. Ive divided this one into 2 auctions. The first is for the Vintage GRACE Spring Sunday Coat and Ruched floral Hat. I have been working hard to come up with something over-the-top original for Spring/Summer 08. And here it is.... ZIP it Jeans!!! These Jeans are fresh and fun and full of attitude. They feature 7 fully functional inset zippers. Most of the zippers are disguised sweetly as flower stems! One of the zippers runs horizontally from front to back...and there is a zipper on each side bottom to finish off the side seams!! I`ve added some fraying around the zippers for a trendy distressed look. Dangly chains and charms grace each zipper and provide a fun swing when she walks!!! I`ve also added tons of fun bottons, sweet appliques and hand stitching to ensure that these are ULTRA original and exceptionally trendy! I`ve paired up this first pair (many more to come) with a new top design! Fun rows of side ruffles make this top extra girly! Front buttons and a full bottom ruffle finish off the look! Its always refreshing to hear of young people learning to give of their heart, soul and time! I just got a letter in the mail from my 18 year old niece. She is planning a missions trip to Nicaragua over the summer and is trying to raise the funds to go. I told her I would list a little set and donate to her trip the full auction end price! Its the least I can do to try and help out in some little way!!!!

I have so many things in the works that I would LOVE to tell you about!! One of the most exciting is that I am working on a Kandy Kisses website where you will be able to purchase my designs year round. No bidding involved...LOL! I will still sell as usual on ebay but will offer a variety of designs so that my website will not just be a copy of the same designs I have available on ebay!!! I`m hoping to launch the website in Feb. Its been a real challenge...as many of you know, behind the scenes of all those sweet little websites is a huge monster of html mumble jumble....LOL. I`m learning!!
Also I know spring is just around the corner and I have about 5 easter sets in the works. The majority of them will be customs....a couple more on the dressy side and a couple more on the fun side!

Well...even here at the beach today it is rainy, cold and dreary!! So I`ve decided to spread some sunshine!! I`ve wanted to do another customer appreciation give-away for some time now and I think today will be the day!!! I have a little set that just ended without a sale...I knew I was barely squeeking this one in with Valentines day so close and the fever for spring designs already well in force.
But I listed it anyway and it didn`t sell. So as a way of thanking all of my sweet customers and supporters I`m going to have a little drawing to give this little 3 piece set away! It can be worn for Valentines day....but it is really perfect for year round wear!!! There are a few heart buttons on the bodice...but the fabrics are floral in browns reds and pinks! It includes the swing style dress, peasant style underdress and headband. Hopefully some little sweetie can give it a good home in their couture closet. It would best fit sizes 3T, 4T possibly a petite 5T.

Just in the nick of time....I just happen to be strolling down the aisle of our local supermarket the other day mumbling to myself about the ridiculous price of eggs!!! Almost $4.00 a dozen here....a huge increase along with the majority of everything else that goes in my cart to feed a family of 7....well to my sweet surprise, the chicks that Andrew purchased last summer have just begun to lay eggs!!!! Amber has a BLAST hiking out to the back yard every morning to collect them (pictures to come). We`re only getting about 4 a day right now...but soon it should be up to 15 or more!!! YIPEEEEEEE. Can you say homemade goodies, custard, omelettes, quiche...yummm. We do have a couple araucana hens so I`m looking forward to the day that Amber discovers a blue or green egg in the henhouse!! Hopefully I`ll have my camera at hand! Heres to my girls!!!!

Gosh I can`t believe its already here...New Years Eve. The beginning of a whole new year is at our fingertips!! Though thoughts of needed changes and resolutions have filled my mind for the past few days...I think I`m going to simply try hard to "Live My Best Life" this year. It will mean some changes, and some refinement. More organization and less wasted time. But most important it will mean a focus on Quality and an emphasis on Grace!! Enough said about that!
There are new and exciting things awaiting Kandy Kisses Boutique in the New Year also. I`ll keep these a surprise for now...as most of it is still in the works! Anticipation is a good thing!! Thank you so much to all my fantastic customers who have supported my business and given me the wonderful blessing of being able to work and stay home with my children at the same time. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here with family and friends. I had planned on taking the weekend off, but I ended up designing and sewing a Valentines set. I just love this one...a fun play with colors and sweet unique details!!

I`m so sorry to be MIA lately!! Its a busy busy time here. No, my kitchen isn`t finished...and actually even though my guys promised it would be done for Thanksgiving....I know it won`t. Today Ryan started spraying the doors...got 2 done, got mad, the sprayer clogged....and the day was over!!! Ugggg...theres something to be said for NOT doing these home projects yourself!!

I have some exciting/frustrating news...LOL. My kitchen is all torn up!! LOL Now, I`m trying to keep my sights focused on the end product...but its hard at this stage. Yesterday all my kitchen cabinet doors were taken off and wowzers....all my STUFF is just staring at me everytime I walk in the room. I`ll post some pictures later...but for now, on to a sweeter topic.

Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year!! Natures color pallette and the crispness in the air just sends shivers down my spine. We had a challenging photo shoot today!! It was just ONE OF THOSE DAYS! Our morning photoshoot at the beach was a flop.....so we headed to a location about 30 minutes away. We drove up to this gorgeous location and of course...the sprinklers were on. NOT A BID DEAL...we could surely find one dry spot to take pictures!!! After getting the dress on Amber, I franticly began searching through the truck...alas....we forgot the black dress shoes. Okay...PINK FLIPFLOPS....of course the shoe of choice for any elegant christmas gown...LOL. I decided we could make it work. At his point I convinced myself that nothing else could go wrong. Mother nature must have heard me and laughed, the wind started blowing like crazy. The hoop skirt that is under this little dress was flying in the wind and making it sooo difficult to get pictures.....and Ambers hat flew off about 5 times. The ice cream cones Amber and I treated ourselves to when it was over were WELL DESERVED!!!
