Don`t you just LOVE it when the mailman arrives with packages for you?? No matter what I`ve ordered, indulging in childlike "package opening" just makes me happy happy happy . It adds a holiday feel to the day...don`t you agree? Well today must be Christmas...because look what the mailman brought me !
First, more yummy fabric for all those Maggie orders! Then, Kandy Kisses Tshirts for giveaways/art show/booth hosting wear. Okay...and lastly... aren`t you just drooling over these sweet hangers!! They are even more incredible in person. Oh my gosh I just fell in love with them when I was researching display options. I`ve already spoken to the resident handyman (Andrew) who has agreed to make some gorgeous racks for these hangers to go on. We`ve talked about decorative wooden posts he could make ...painted in grunge greens and pinks....then the pole with the hanger anchors.
Okay...I DO have a clear vision of this in my head, even though it just sounds like a jumbled mess of ideas....LOL. I`ll post pics as the display items start coming together!
On a different note, I`m having a huge camera dilema. I`d love it if the mailman showed up on my door step with one of these:
Or perhaps one of these:
I`m wanting to do a camera upgrade. I have the Canon XTi and love it...but I just want more! I`m going back and forth between these 2...the Canon 50 D and the Nikon D 80.
Any tips? Suggestions? What do you have?? Has anyone done extensive comparisons?? Or a better option??
I`d love any help I can get!
Okay...off to sew and plan and clean house. Ugg...I`m crossing "clean house" off the list for today. I`ll just spend the day sewing and planning!
Thanks Mr. Mailman!!
~Happy Thursday Everyone
Laurie
I've done a lot of comparitive reading, and it seems like Nikon & Canon are both great, but it's easier to stick with the brand you know already.
I've also read that if you're going to upgrade from the Rebel, go for the 5d, not the 50d - the 5d had better color & clarity. I don't have experience with it, that's just what I've read.
I do have the Canon 50mm 1.4 lens, and love it so much - I use it 80% of the time. I also have a wide angle 28mm, which is what I use the other 20% of the time.

I'm a nikon girl..but I would say if you HAVE canon and canon lens to stick with Canon. Both are great cameras though.

Love you stuff and the fabric is delicious!
I went from the original Digital Rebel to a 40D last year and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! No regrets. And if you have invested in lenses, it is easier to stay in the same lineup. And if you haven't invested in lenses, look into it! They are what makes the magic happen!
Good luck with the hard decision!

Hey Laurie,
If you have the canon already, it's pretty easy to bump to the 50D. I have the 50D and also went from a rebel. It has super easy controls on the back and takes great photos! It's a tough choice for sure!

Anyway - LOVE those delicious fabrics on your post! And the hangers - they are fabulous! Do you have a vendor source for them - or would be selling them yourself?

Laurie! Congratulations on your new venture. Everything on your website looks so pretty.
I am not a camera expert but when I bought mine I did research and ask others what they thought. I ended up with a Nikon D40. Love it! I'm still learning slowly. Nikons are great! I'm sure I'll upgrade eventually.

k-I'm totally spazzing out, 2 reasons. 1) I LOVE getting fabric in the mail, feels like Christmas. So I'm giddy for you. 2) You'll be in Paso Robles??? We just decided that we're moving to SLO!! We've been on the search for the best place in the world to live and raise our family and found the central coast! I'm so super excited-I'll totally be at that fair!
k, I'll calm down now :)
